I signed my beauty agreement in October of 2012. I worked full time and was a full time student. I was what you call a "starter kit snatcher." I bought the kit, used the products (the skincare cleared up my severe acne) but I never did much with the business. Until.. January 2014 I became a single Mom, struggling to make ends meet. I found myself at Walmart one evening and my son wanted a 13.00 toy and I had to put it back and tell him "no" because I didn't have a extra 13.00. It was just a toy but it was a defining moment of my life. I went home and cried. I was tired of being broke. My son deserved that toy. So I picked up my started kit, did my 1st 30 faces, made a extra 1000.00 that month and yes, went and bought my son a toy! A month later in Febuary, I debut as a red jacket, the top 6% of Mary Kay! In just 2 short months this business had given me somuch but I wanted so much more. So I went after it. I debut as a Sales Director in June, just 5 months after I started working the business and won my first free car in July. My first paycheck as a Director was over 3000.00!! I don't say this to brag but to simply let you know the possiblities of this business!!
You spend half of your life working! Should you not enjoy your job while doing it? I am now able to make my own schedule! I could go back home and visit my family without the worry of losing pay or losing my position with the company! It's my life and I finally get to LIVE!!! I have made so many new friends and Mary Kay has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone on so many levels! The things that I love most about my Mary Kay business is being my own boss, setting my own schedule, having the flexibility that most women only dream of, and helping women each and every day to empower themselves to financial freedom and independence from Coporate America!
